Amroth's Anomaly: The Oasis Beyond Time

Amroth is an old world. Over the course of history, most of its mysteries were discovered by explorers and explained or disproved by esteemed alchemical researchers and mages. One mystery that remains unexplained to this day is the Oasis Beyond Time. The Oasis is an anomaly of space and time, deep in the Hilior Desert. Even after centuries of research and exploration into the depths of the Oasis, mortals of Amroth still know very little about what it is and why it exists. What is known has been recorded in many manuscripts, most of which are stored in the libraries of Ponwei. However, the Merchants' Guild has recently taken an interest in the Oasis, sending small expedition forces with the hopes of bringing back riches from the past to fill their coffers.

It is said that any who enter the Oasis are transported through space and time to another world. The experience is different for everyone. Some travel to the future, others to the past. No matter how much time seems to pass in the Oasis, travelers always seem to return to their point--and time--of origin. What really is the Oasis? Why is it here, in Amroth? Perhaps some day, mortals will learn the truth.
